Making expertise visible and measuring honestly
An IT company serving small businesses had plenty of expertise in house, but little of it was online. We helped with visibility, articles and newsletters. And with an honest look at the figures.
Getting found and keeping clients informed
The company wanted to be found more easily by business owners with an IT question. It also wanted to keep its clients up to date on changes that affect them directly.
What we did
- Guides on questions clients ask, such as outsourcing IT management.
- New titles and descriptions for the key pages on Google.
- A technical check of the whole website, with a to-do list.
- Newsletters for clients, with updates and tips they can use straight away.
- Quote templates and a presentation in the company's own brand style.
- An analysis of all the figures from Google Search Console.
An honest story about the figures
Impressions on Google grew fast. A great figure, or so it seemed. A closer look showed that a large share of those impressions probably didn't come from real searchers.
We reported that honestly. Our advice was to steer by clicks from people who don't know the company name yet. That's why there's deliberately no figure here. Better no number than a number that isn't right.
