Know what your marketing delivers
Plenty of businesses measure everything and still don't know what works. We set up your tracking properly and write reports in plain English. Including what it means and what we'll do next.
Who is analytics and reporting for?
Business owners who want to base decisions on what's really happening. Does this sound familiar?
- You have Google Analytics, but you never look at it.
- You get reports full of charts, but don't know what to do with them.
- You don't know which channels bring in your enquiries.
- You want to know whether a campaign, on the radio for example, actually did anything.
What we do for you
Analytics means measuring what visitors do on your website. Reporting is the story you tell afterwards. We do both, and keep it simple.
- Google Analytics and Search Console set up properly, with your visitors' consent.
- Tracking of what counts, such as quote requests, job applications and completed forms.
- A regular report, quarterly for example, in plain English.
- A comparison with earlier periods, so you can see whether things are really improving.
- Advice on what we'll do next, what we'll stop and why.
- An honest explanation when a figure looks better than it is.
How we approach measurement
Create
Together we decide what success means for your business. Then we set up the tracking so you see exactly that.
Realise
We pull the figures from your website, from Google and from your forms. Then we bring them together in one overview.
Optimise
We discuss what the figures say and adjust. What works, we do more of. What doesn't, we stop.
Measurement in practice
-
Cleaning company, business clients
A report every quarter covering impressions, visitors and enquiries. Impressions on Google grew while clicks stayed level. The report says so too.
-
IT company
An analysis showing that most of the growth in impressions probably didn't come from real searchers. So now we look at different figures.
Frequently asked questions about analytics and reporting
Am I allowed to use Google Analytics under the GDPR?
You can, if you set it up properly. Visitors first give consent for statistics cookies, and you don't use the data for advertising. That's how we do it on our own site too.
How often will I get a report?
We agree that together. Quarterly is often enough to see trends. If something stands out in between, you'll hear sooner.
What if the figures are disappointing?
Then we'll say so. An honest report is worth more than a pretty one. We explain what's going on and what we're doing about it.
Can you measure what happens outside the website?
Partly. We can, for example, compare how your enquiries went before and after a radio campaign. Not everything can be measured, and we'll say so when that's the case.

Finally want to understand what your figures are telling you?
Send us your question. We'll take a look and tell you what we see.
